The purpose of that is to establish a case and then you call. I see what happens if you try the on-line contact. A couple that I recently bought say May, 2019. Do you have the box, on it, does it say "Warranty Ends" and the date is stamped. You purchased it more than a year ago, do you see whether or not if the warranty is still in effect. Did you purchase at a local retailer, would they make good on it? Is the damaged one HP Original Ink? If not your are out-of-luck. Easy for me to say, but you could just accept your loss and move on. Have you gone ahead and purchased another replacement so you can print. I see what you mean about the condition seen photo of the cartridge. Anyway, it's nice that you guys try to help, but I saw too many posts where people called the actual support number and got the runaround. ![]() After posting here, I received several scam emails with bogus phone numbers. I would have been more than happy to return it to HP so they could see the defective problem, but I couldn't even get a straight answer. I could have accepted my loss and moved on but why should I? I bought a product that is supposed to work and it doesn't, and it's not cheap. I don't buy anything but HP Original Ink. ![]() I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything at Best Buy in the future. They took it back, and also took the unopened color cartridge and gave me a new pack with no hassles. That makes sense why I would still have not opened them a year later. They could see on their records that I bought a printer that came with installed cartridges, but I also purchased a pack of extra cartridges. They were more than great about it and also acknowledged the problem seen in the photo. I orginally purchased the cartridge at Best Buy online, so I decided to take it to the store directly where I could actually talk to a real person.
